SweetWater 420 Fest Moves to Shirley Clarke Franklin Park for Its 21st Year

Atlanta's most beloved spring music festival is getting a new home. The 21st Annual SweetWater 420 Fest, presented by SweetWater Brewing, moves to Shirley Clarke Franklin Park — Atlanta's largest greenspace — on April 17 and 18. Organizers are calling it a "bold new chapter," returning the eclectic lineup to a more relaxed, greener setting that hosted the festival's earliest editions. It will also be the first large-scale public event of any kind held at Franklin Park.

The two-day lineup features a mix of jam bands, funk acts, bluegrass, and the laid-back alt-rock that has defined 420 Fest's identity for two decades. SweetWater's own taproom sets up on-site, and the food court pulls vendors from across the Atlanta food scene. It's one of the most reliably good spring weekends on the city's calendar.

If you're going: the park is on Atlanta's west side, accessible via MARTA bus routes. Parking is limited; rideshare is the recommended move. Camp chairs are welcome.
